Sara McCarty is one of our incredible accountants here at A+P CPAs, bringing over 20 years of experience in public accounting to the team. After graduating from Utah State University, she’s spent nearly all of those years right here with us—recently celebrating her 20th anniversary with the firm! Sara is a go-to expert in business returns, quarterly payroll, and individual tax.
She’s also a faithful Boston Red Sox fan who still remembers the thrill of watching the Curse of the Bambino break in 2004—and cheering on her all-time favorite, Dustin Pedroia, during the 2013 World Series run. (Go Sox!) What Sara loves most about her work is helping clients feel that moment of relief when something stressful suddenly feels manageable. She gets it—taxes can be overwhelming, and she’s passionate about making the process feel easier.
Sara grew up on a farm near Price, Utah, where she learned the value of hard work early on. These days, she’s a proud aunt and a key support in helping her single-dad brother raise his two kids. When she’s not deep in tax returns, you’ll find her reading, hiking with her dog Mindy, or heading to a favorite coastal spot with her husband, Eric.
With sharp skills, steady care, and a warm sense of humor, Sara makes accounting feel a whole lot more human—and a little more fun too.
