Senior Audit Manager
Matt Taggart, CPA, brings global perspective, serious audit know-how, and a whole lot of energy to his role as Senior Audit Manager at A+P CPAs. Before joining the firm, he spent years traveling the world with the Internal Audit Department of a large international corporation. He’s not the kind of person who sits still—whether it’s his career or his next hiking trail, Matt’s always moving forward.
He’s led audit teams of all shapes and sizes and has a gift for figuring out what makes people tick. A big believer in growth through challenge, he’s always asking the right questions, encouraging others to stretch outside their comfort zones, and building people up along the way.
Matt earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Weber State University, and his career has included everything from internal audit to public accounting to leadership roles in complex corporate environments. At A+P CPAs, he’s especially excited about helping the Audit Department grow and evolve—and he’s all-in on what comes next.
He also serves on the Board of Directors for Mountain America Credit Union, where he brings his audit and leadership expertise to support one of the largest credit unions in the country.
Outside the office, Matt stays just as active. He’s run 13 full marathons, speaks Spanish, hikes, cycles, and can usually be found coaching or cheering from the sidelines at his kids’ soccer or track meets. He also has a huge heart for service—especially when the cause hits close to home.
Driven, thoughtful, and always on the move, Matt brings contagious energy to the team and is fired up about where the assurance department is headed next.
