Halen Strong, one of our terrific accountants, has a claim to fame right in his name—his mom was a huge Van Halen fan! These days, Halen’s more likely to Jump into action as a rock star of accounting here at A+P CPAs.
A dedicated team player with a great head for numbers, Halen is fantastic with clients and never backs down from a challenge. He lives by one of his favorite mantras: “Choose your pain—the pain of discipline or the pain of regret.” That mindset drives both his professional work and his personal pursuits.
Halen earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from Utah State University, and says his career path found him: “I didn’t choose the accountant; the accountant chose me.” After taking his first class, he was all in.
Outside of work, Halen is all about staying active. Whether he’s playing sports, boating, hitting the gym, or flipping houses, he brings high energy to everything he does. His happy place? Lake Powell with his wife, Aspen, and their little girl.
He may not bring a guitar to the office, but Halen definitely knows how to rock a spreadsheet.
