Tyler Critchfield

Accountant
When it comes to curiosity and commitment, Tyler Critchfield brings both in full measure. As an Accountant at A+P CPAs, Tyler focuses on individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns—and he’s always looking for new ways to help clients understand and optimize their tax strategy.
Accounting wasn’t his original plan—he was actually preparing for medical school when a single accounting class during his master’s program changed everything. The logic, structure, and problem-solving of tax work hooked him instantly, and he’s been all in ever since.
Tyler earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from BYU and his Master of Accounting from the University of Utah. Since joining A+P, he’s developed strong expertise in partnership taxation and is known for his thoughtful, client-first approach. His goal is simple: make clients feel heard, understood, and confident that they’re in good hands.
A fun fact about Tyler is that he once spent two and a half years as a medical assistant in urgent care—an experience that sharpened his communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure. Those same strengths serve him well in public accounting, where clear explanations and steady diligence make all the difference.
Outside the office, Tyler’s happiest when he’s with his wife, Reagan, and their daughter, Sienna—usually grabbing a Mango Breeze from Swig, hitting the basketball court, or cheering on the BYU Cougars or Oregon Ducks. He’s fluent in Spanish, which served all of us well when he was able to direct a lost Door Dasher carrying tasty cargo to the office! ¡Por fin! Tyler is also a dedicated weightlifter and spent two years living in northern Chile, which left a lasting impression.
Steady, personable, and always learning, Tyler brings focus and follow-through to every project and every client he serves.
